Course Overview

Students will study four courses in this foundational Pharmacy Technician Career Training Specialisation to gain the skills necessary for a career in pharmacy. The first two courses cover the fundamentals of human anatomy and physiology that are required for every medical function, as well as professional communication and engagement in any healthcare context.

To complete their entry-level pharmacy education, students then delve into two pharmacy-related courses, Pharmacy Technician Essentials and Pharmacy Dosages & Prescriptions Essentials.

Students will investigate the position of pharmacy technician in their state using their understanding of regulatory and compliance standards. Students will evaluate each other's work through peer review, enabling them to contrast state requirements with those of other states.
